Kana is one busy lady! She's the Editor and Founder of Love It, EVV!, an enthusiastic shop local advocate and all things Beauty Expert.

We work together frequently, as she's my go-to-makeup artist for my clients. I absolutely love her and her work and couldn't have been more thrilled to take her headshots.

Since she's involved in so much, we decided to showcase a few different aspects of her throughout her shoot. The images of her on the blue couch with her magazine represented her involvement in Love It, EVV!; the fun, styled images showcasing her fashion sense represented her time at The Beauty Room and the one taken outdoors on Main Street downtown was taken to show love for the local community.

Casey and Maggie | Headshots by Alisha Sims Photography

Casey and Maggie work together at Hair m.d. in Shelbyville, IL. They're fun, innovative and love their work! Maggie owns the salon but these two work together as a fabulous team!

Casey describes herself as a hair stylist, make up artist, travel enthusiast and dream catcher.  Maggie describes herself as a hair stylist, wife, mother, entrepreneur and donut lover. As their friend I think of them as genuine, joyful and a blessing to know! 

In 2015 the girls joined Monat global. Monat is a naturally based hair care line offering fuller, thicker, longer hair. They saw an amazing opportunity not only for the business but also great results for their clientele. Monat has provided amazing before and after photos, time and financial freedom and also some killer reward trips for the duo.

The hearts behind MeaningFull Books | Evansville Indiana Headshot Photographer

Connor and Megan are two of the loveliest people I've had the opportunity to work with and gotten to know. When they approached me about their MeaningfullBooks project, I was ecstatic to photograph it for them. What exactly is a MeaningfullBook? Well, it's the perfect gift for your honey that you know they will treasure forever, and Connor makes it easier than ever to share your heart with the one you love. MeaningFullBooks is much more than that its more of a philosophy than a product, though. It's a movement. It's a step in the right direction of connecting deeper with the people that matter most. 

The Book:
A custom wood inlayed journal that is 15 pages in length. The short page count makes it less intimidating and easier to fill. It took four months to get a manufacturer to create a journal with this design. 

The Writing Guides:
They've given you an outline of ideas that will help you fill the book and make it thoughtful. This includes page-by-page instructions and video guides. The awesome thing is that it can all be accessed on your phone. (Their whole goal was to make it easier on you!)

Encouragement/Accountability: 
It helps to have a little encouragement, so they send out a weekly text that gives you the push you need to finish writing your MeaningFull Book. 

This book gives you a simple way to bring urgency to the words you feel, but might not always take the time to say.  I had the privilege of photographing Connor and Megan's wedding, I was blessed to be a part of their big day, and I'm excited to say Dakota and I are making it a priority to fill out Meaningfull Book for each other on our wedding day.

Allie Peach | Evansville Indiana Headshot Photography

Allie helped me define the style of my home.  Over the past 6 months we picked paint colors, furniture, and decorative touches! She's a total wizz as not only an interior designer but also as a creative director. So I was really excited when she contacted me for updated headshots for her new website alliepeach.com. Photographing in a space that she helped create was a no brainer for me and they really turned out to be a lovely reflection of her brand.

Hanna, hair stylist at Hanna Williams Salon, loves mixing things up and trying new styles. Not only does she truly enjoy what she does, but she's gone through extensive training and was a National Paul Mitchell Educator, too; with all her experience, she is ready to take your look to the next level. Naturally, she wanted to take her headshots to the next level, too!

Hanna wanted the typical headshot, but in a more fashion-forward, stylish way to relay her brand in a more lighthearted manner. Most of her potential clients would be attracted to the deep blues and classic blacks that are featured in the majority of her images. Since she was featured in a magazine for her work, she also wanted to capture some fun detail shots with the article to share on social media or her site.

Welcome, Katie! | Headshots by Alisha Sims Photography

Hello, my name's Katie and I'm ASP's go-to-girl! I’m here for any and all needs which may include running errands, helping with shoots, or interacting with all of you lovelies on social media!

I am a junior studying political science and I will be moving to DC in the near future to pursue a career in Communications (very Elle Woods; Red, White, and Blonde). I love curling up with a cozy sweater and reading any book that has to do with positivity or happiness. But, I’ll also be out the next night in my stilettos ready to dance with all of my friends and laughing at our terrible moves. I call my mom every day and we talk Gilmore Girls, schemes for my 21st birthday (that I believe we’ve been planning for about 3 years), our (non existent) work out plans, and everything in between.

I was so thrilled when I got to join Alisha’s team and that feeling of excitement is still there every day when I come in to work. The environment provides a new invigorating plan each time I step through the door and I love that we are always encouraged to voice our opinions and let our creativity run free.

I’m so blessed to be able to work with the most passionate women and that I get to live this fabulous life.

Patrick Duff came to me looking for modern headshots conveying a sense of trust. He’s an attorney at Duff Law, LLC; making sure his clients would see a trustworthy face showcasing professionalism was high on the list of priorities.

The detail shots of him at work are perfect to highlight what he does for website content or social media; they have a very classic feel to them that allows Patrick’s personality and style to shine through.

I am so happy I get to work with not only one of my closest friends, but a bomb business boss, too! Sara is the owner of Single Thread Boutique and has a lot of amazing things happening for her. She recently released her Fall Look Book for 2016 and the styles are absolutely to die for! The most exciting thing happening for her right now, and the reason I wanted to feature this gorgeous girl's headshots this week, is because she's getting married this weekend!

I can't believe her big day is finally here and I'm thrilled to be able to stand by her side; I know it's going to be filled with so much love and laughter.

The most well known reason for having updated headshots taken is for business professional use.
