We spent most of her session capturing headshots for her business, and wrapped up with some fun shots for her fashion, beauty, and faith-based blog, The Beloved Bride!

• What is your favorite thing about your line of work?

  I wake up everyday so thankful for my job and for the opportunity to help others grow their businesses and dreams. I look forward to each day and what it will hold. There are many pros and cons to working your own business, and many times it means you are the CEO, the COO, and the CFO. You sacrifice weekends and very late nights - but every bit of it is so worth it to me. Duckworth Marketing was a dream, and to look back now and see how it has become a reality is so rewarding.

  To hear a client's enthusiasm when they see the results of our work makes every day worth it. It is so rewarding getting to be alongside people that are making their dreams a reality whether it’s a new nonprofit with a vision that’s just getting started, a client that’s starting their own business, or an established professional that wants to expand. I work with the best people in the world, and I am so thankful every single day!

• What was your favorite part of your headshot shoot experience?

  I loved having the option of getting my hair and makeup done, so all I had to do was worry about showing up to the shoot and Alisha took care of the rest. It was such a stress-free experience, and I love how fun Alisha made the shoot! She made sure to capture all of my favorite poses and ideas, which helped to tell the story of my business and who I am to my audience.

• How did your headshot session make you feel?

  Professional and confident, like a true girl boss! ;)

• Would you recommend a headshot session to anyone else? If so, who?

  I would definitely recommend a headshot session to other working professionals in the Evansville area. I am a true believer that first impressions are always important, and many times, people are looking you up online before they contact you regarding your services. A stunning headshot may just make all of the difference to really showcase your personality and your business!

• What image was your favorite?

  I love the image that was set up in Alisha's kitchen with the Macbook. It captured the whole vibe of my line of work, and made the photo feel really personal, which is what I also love about my work!

Meet Ty: he works for First Security Bank as a Mortgage Loan Officer. I loved working with Ty on his headshots photos! He's warm, engaging and I can only imagine how fabulous he is at his job.

Dakota and I bought a house about a year ago, so I was about 6 months too late to get to use him for our mortgage, but I highly recommend him based on his passion for getting families into their homes!

  The laid back environment. It was very easy, and a lot of laughs that helped with the smile.

  People in my office said that my head has gotten a little bit bigger because I have gotten so many compliments on the photos. It made me feel empowered.

  Of course: all types of people. I will definitely recommend it to other business professionals in my line of work.

Kelsey Blankenberger | Headshots by Alisha White Photography

Kelsey Blankenberger is an Academic Coordinator/Grant Manager at Deaconess Hospital who celebrated her one year anniversary at Deaconess with a fresh, exciting headshots session. I loved hearing about her enthusiasm for the new medical students and introducing them to the Deaconess Health System midtown campus! Her passion and drive for her career is obvious, and it's easy to see she loves what she does.

Her infectious smile, amazing style, and joyful personality were so much fun to capture, and I had so much fun shooting with her! Keep reading below to learn more about Kelsey and her experience.

  Academic Coordinator/Grant Manager

• What is your favorite thing about your line of work?

  The people - definitely the people I have met. I have met so many incredible people, and they have all taught me so much about medical education. We all want the same things; we want medical students to have access to Deaconess' outstanding teaching physicians and a world class health system with the latest technology and a full spectrum of specialists. I have a lot of things I love about my position, but my favorite is meeting students on their first day of their rotation and giving them a brief orientation and showing them around Deaconess Midtown campus. I am very proud to work for Deaconess, so I enjoy showing students everything that is available to them during their rotation here.

• What was your favorite part of your headshot shoot experience?

  Working with Alisha and her team. She is so bubbly and full of energy. Alisha made me feel so comfortable during the photo-shoot.

• How did your headshot session make you feel?

  I decided to get my headshots done as a "mini-celebration" of being at Deaconess Hospital for 1 year. It was always a big goal for me to work there once I finished my Health Service degree (all while working full time and being a mom to the sweetest girl). This session made me feel strong, beautiful and accomplished.

• Would you recommend a headshot session to anyone else? If so, who?

  Absolutely. Anyone currently working or planning to work in a professional setting. A headshot session with Alisha would be a great gift for a college graduate!

• What image was your favorite?

  I loved all the pictures, but my absolute favorite was the close up of me in my black shirt and blue skirt. I love that midi skirt- it's the perfect Deaconess blue color and it was such a classic look. Skirt: Asos.com Earrings: Jcrew.com

Amelia is a #GirlBoss to the max! She is a life coach and owns her own company, Amelia James Coaching. She loves helping women discover themselves and live by their own rules, which I, of course, absolutely LOVE!

  I am super awkward in front of any camera, but Alisha made sure that I felt prepared and comfortable through the whole process — from the pre-shoot checklist and Pinterest board collaboration to helping me work through each pose during the shoot.

Stephanie is the President-Elect on the board of trustees for the Evansville Museum! She is an art collector, and I always love listening to her talk about upcoming exhibits and artists! Stephanie and I have worked together once before, when I shot an event at her gorgeous loft featuring amazing paintings! Stephanie hosted some of Evansville's finest, and I was so thrilled to be part of such a great evening filled with art and culture!

Stephanie, you are a total #bossbabe, and I loved getting to work with you again! I'm so happy with how your images turned out, and I hope you love them, too!

I was previously employed as a Development and Membership Director of a Nature Center and then chose to become a full time Community Volunteer. I love art and currently serve on the board of the Museum.

• What is your favorite thing about your line of work?

I get to use my skills to help organizations, while at the same time, I have the opportunity to work along aside and learn from some of the most talented and dedicated people in our community.

• What was your favorite part of your headshot shoot experience?

  Working with Alisha and her team. Alisha and her team made being photographed very easy and comfortable!

• How did your headshot session make you feel?

Updated and modern!!! The last headshots that were taken of me were taken when I first started working at the Nature Center. I was outside surrounded by trees. That's not a bad thing, but I needed new photos that could be used for multiple purposes.

• Would you recommend a headshot session to anyone else? If so, who?

  Most definitely.

• What image was your favorite?

  The casual shot with me in the blue shirt with my hands on my hips. My husband loves both the color and black and white version. The other two that I like are the one in the v neck dress and chunky necklace and the one where I'm leaned over with my elbow on my knee and wearing the green necklace. There is also the horizontal photo with me in the gold and silver necklace.

Josey and Adam's headshot session was extra special because they got to take photos together, as well as individually! Adam is the Director of Operations at Trinity Bible College and Theological Seminary! Adam could not be more excited to start his new journey of becoming a pastor in Evansville, and Josey is right next to him to support him.

Josey works at The Life Center as the Director of Strategy and Organizational Development! They do amazing work helping the local community, and Josey is the perfect example of the compassion that their leaders have for others!

These two are both so sweet and fun, and I loved shooting with them both! Josey and Adam, I hope you enjoy your photos and I'm so thrilled you chose me to help put your best feet forward in your new adventures!

• What was your favorite part of your headshot shoot experience?

Adam: I enjoyed how much fun Josey had. She's always enjoyed fashion, and it was obvious she was in her element and having a blast.

Josey: Getting to experience it with Adam!

• How did your headshot session make you feel?

Adam: I felt very relaxed. I've never had pictures taken professionally before and I was pretty unsure of how the process would go but overall the process was pretty easy.

• Would you recommend a headshot session to anyone else? If so, who?

Adam: Absolutely, as social media networking continues to take center stage in our professional lives I think having a professional headshot is almost mandatory.

Josey: Yes, anyone who is looking to grow their career professionally or has plans on attaining a professional job out of college

Hanna Williams is the definition of #girlboss. She is the owner of her own hair salon, Hanna Williams Salon, she is a mom to a beautiful boy. She also works at the Diamond Galleria! Hanna knows the definition of hustle, and I'm privileged to have known her and worked with her for so long! She truly puts all of herself into making sure her clients look their absolute best, and is a total color genius!

Hanna, it is always so much fun working with you and shooting your headshots, and I hope you love them!

Sarah | Headshots by Alisha Sims Photography

I am thrilled to be the newest addition to the ASP family. I am working as Alisha’s office assistant/studio manager to make sure that her clients get the best experience possible, and hopefully to make Alisha’s busy life a little bit easier! My favorite part of the job is a toss-up between getting to work side-by-side with Alisha and seeing the look on client’s faces when they love their images.

I am currently an online college student. I’m also a singer, songwriter, model, and now Alisha’s assistant! I love to spend time at home, either curled up with my cat on the couch, doing yoga, or trying out new recipes in the kitchen. My favorite shows to binge-watch are Gilmore Girls and Parks and Recreation. When I'm out with friends we are most likely doing anything that allows us to be our crazy, goofy selves and enjoy each other’s company.

I believe in the power of girl-bonding and friendship, and having a positive outlook and attitude. I am so grateful to have a job that not only has both of those, but also has me working alongside some of the most inspiring women and #girlbosses I have ever met! I love that I get to be a part of a company that not only empowers women to be the best they can be, but makes them feel beautiful, inside and out.
